Questions and answers from customers

  • Question: Does this product work with Energizer Lithium batteries?
  • Answer: It will work with any battery as long as the negative and positive points of the battery can make contact with the respective points on the device, including the wires.
  • Question: It says that the button batteries are 1.5 V. What about 3V button cells? Does it test them too?
  • Answer: Yes, it does.
  • Question: Does this product accurately test Ni-Cd and NIMH batteries?
  • Answer: Yes. I'm constantly testing Ni-MH and alkaline batteries and this tester allows me to test both.
  • Question: How do you test button cells? I can't get a reading on any of them. Is there a special angle?
  • Answer: Simply make sure that the positive side of the battery is facing the red button on the tester, close the battery and read the appropriate scale on the tester. I regularly test various button cells and have never had a problem.
  • Question: Does it charge li-ion batteries?
  • Answer: It doesn't charge anything. It's a tester. It tests the level of energy stored in the batteries.
If something doesn't work, you can at least eliminate the possibility that the batteries are exhausted.
